Schiedam is very easy to reach by car, boat and public transport. 

By public transport 

From Rotterdam: 
Metro: Lines A/B/C: Stops for Schiedam historic city centre: NS station Schiedam Centrum or Parkweg. Check the metromap
Tram: Lines 21 and 24. Stops for Schiedam historic city centre: NS station Schiedam Centrum, Broersvest and Koemarkt. 
Water taxi: Stop Voorhaven Schiedam. A 20-minute walk to the historic city centre. 
Train:
-From Rotterdam railwaystation Centraal it only takes 4 minutes by train to Schiedam Centrum.
-From Delft and The Hague it takes 10  minutes by train from railwaystation Delft en 20 minutes from Den Haag Hollands Spoor to the historic city centre of: Stop Schiedam Centrum. 

By car

Schiedam is very easy to reach by car on the A4 and A20. Take exit Schiedam Centrum for the historic city centre of Schiedam. You will find with plenty of parkingspace. Check the parkingmap

By boat 

Schiedam is easy to reach by (your own) boat, either via the rivers Schie or Nieuwe Waterweg.
