Serious Bee Distillers lies right outside the centre of Schiedam in a very special place. They produce unique Schiedam made honey distillates, mead brandy.

Serious Bee is a distillery which produces distillates under the brandname Clutius & Clucius. At the same time, bee colonies are protected with the foundation BeeSerious.
FROM BEE TO BAR
What started in 2018 with a bottle produced in recordtime has grown into a microdistillery unique in the international market. The original recipe (of a honey distillate) was forgotten throughout the years but has been revived by Serious Bee Distillers.
FUN FACT
In 1597 pharmacist Theodurus Clutius and botanist professor Carolus Clusius (pseudonames for Dick Outgaertsz Cluyt and Charles de L’Écluse) were found to be corresponding about bees and the use of honey in the distillation process.
